Black screen or stuck loading
A black screen on Underground 2 Revived can be the module still loading, a tab that lost the GPU, or a bug the project has not closed. PLAYING.md says Play enables once the module has loaded, usually a second or two, and the page shows a problem only when there is one. There is no dedicated black-screen error code in the notes we read. Issue 20 was still the open crash and load thread in the 28 October research pass. Do not delete your save as the first step.

What I checked
I looked for a code that means “black screen” and did not find one. Inventing GPU-BLACK or a similar token would send people to the wrong thread. What I can repeat is the quit ladder: Quit game, then “Close the game now,” then “Stop the game,” and the warning before the tab closes because a save may be in progress.
A short order of checks
Confirm the host is nfsu2.xyz and the page is HTTPS. If the start page itself is black, try a reload without extensions, then another browser that has WebGPU. If the start page is visible and the game frame is black, note whether Play was enabled. A second tab shows Open elsewhere and will not run a second copy.
If the game loaded before and the server is down, the page can say Offline and still start from cached data, with movies off unless they were stored. That path is not a black screen. It is a labeled mode.
What not to do first
Do not install a “black screen fix” executable. Do not clear site data until a zip backup exists. Do not assume a typo domain’s blank page is this bug. The link page covers empty and 522 responses, which look similar and are not the game failing.
Questions
The game is stuck loading. How long do I wait?
The notes do not give a timeout in seconds. If the start page has printed an error, use that code. If it has printed nothing for a long time, reload once, then try Chrome.
Is issue 20 my bug?
Read it. If your screen matches, comment there. This guide cannot close project issues.
I only see black on www.
www returned 522 in our 28 October check. Use the apex host.
Will a cache wipe fix it?
It also deletes local saves unless you have a zip or a cloud keyphrase. Backup first.
Firefox leaves me with a blank fullscreen.
Esc exits Firefox fullscreen immediately. Pause with P. That is a documented Firefox difference, not proof of a crash.
