Download
You do not download a client for the public instance. Open nfsu2.xyz and press Play. The site streams the game. An optional preload of about 2 GB is still inside that browser, not a setup.exe. This guide will not mirror the wasm file or the game data. A self-hosted server, described in the README, is a different job and asks you to point at a PC copy you already own.

About 7 MB, then streamed data.

Evidence note: figures attributed only to one publication or to the project's own documentation are single-source reports. The project site, README and playing notes count as one source group. Sources and checked dates are shown with each fact.
I opened the hero on this site into this page on purpose, because the image cannot embed nfsu2.xyz. On 28 October 2026 the project responded with X-Frame-Options: DENY and frame-ancestors 'none'. I also checked the GOG slug and the old EA game page: GOG redirected away from a product, and the EA URL did not present a buy button. I am not calling that a permanent store policy. It is what those two URLs returned that day.
Search results mix four different objects. Only the first one is the public browser project.
| Request | What it actually is | Where to read |
|---|---|---|
| Play Underground 2 Revived | Browser session on nfsu2.xyz | /play/ |
| Preload the data | Optional ~2 GB inside the same site | PLAYING.md |
| Self-host | Your own server plus a PC copy you already have | GitHub README |
| APK | Separate Android ports | /download/apk/ |
| PS2 ISO in the browser | nfsunderground2.site, a different port | /versions/ps2-browser-port/ |
The project robots.txt disallows /data/ and /game.wasm. Copying those files here would turn a guide into a second distributor. The README’s self-host path says to point the server at a folder that contains SPEED2.EXE. That sentence does not describe the public website, which streams data. Both sentences are true in their own context. nfsu2.net’s comparison page also describes the public site as streaming.
Anti-Hype, Caradisiac, and Komputerswiat each discuss the project as a community recompile with legal risk for whoever distributes the game data. Electronic Arts has not posted a license for this port on the pages we checked. This guide does not tell you the project is cleared, and it does not tell you to download a ripped ISO.
A free setup file on a download blog is this project. The public project is a website. Random EXE and APK blogs are not nfsu2.xyz.
2.9 GB is the required download. That figure is one video. The project text says streaming, plus an optional preload near 2 GB.
There is no client. Use https://nfsu2.xyz/ and press Play.
On 28 October 2026 those two URLs did not show a product. That is a point-in-time check.
The README’s self-host instructions use your folder. They are for running your own server, not for a patch on top of the public site.
The picture cannot legally or technically embed the game. This page is the explanation, with the link to the project site.
No. See the APK page for two native Android projects and their own frame-rate notes.
