Is Underground 2 Revived on PS5 or PS4?

No PS5 or PS4 release of Need for Speed Underground 2, and no Underground 2 Revived console build, was on the PlayStation Store search we ran on 28 October 2026. The store returned a broad Need for Speed list without this game on the first screen. Wikipedia notes that PS5 plays most PS4 discs and does not play PS2 discs. The 2004 game shipped on PS2, GameCube, Xbox, PC, and later handhelds — not on PS4. A YouTube “PS5 unboxing” from 2023 says in the title and description that the box is a concept.

What I checked

I treated the concept unboxing as a correction, not as footage. The uploader says the box is fan-made and the gameplay is a mod. I also opened the store search URL and the old EA page. Not finding a product is not a promise that EA will never announce one. It is the state of those pages on the check date.

What people are actually opening

The October 2026 news is a browser session on a PC or phone, not a console patch. If a thumbnail shows a PS5 dashboard, read the description before you assume Sony shipped a remaster. The browser project’s own screenshots are a PC game inside a browser window.

Release-date rumors

The 2004 dates are on the game overview: Wikipedia lists 15 November, the Fandom wiki splits PC on 9 November and consoles on 15 November. Neither date is a 2026 console announcement. The browser project’s public window is 19–20 October 2026, which is a PC website, documented on the updates page.
